International ocean shipping is the most economical way to ship your freight overseas, and Ferry Shipping can provide you multiple turn-key options to safely and reliably via ocean shipping to the destination country of your choice.
While there are over 14 different types of ocean shipping containers ranging from flat racks for oversized freight to refrigerated ISO (reefer) containers, the type of container we most frequently used is a dry container. Dry shipping containers come primarily in 20 and 40-foot lengths and do have available options for tall freight (high cube containers) and freight that is most easily loaded from the top of the container (open-top containers).

Depending on the volume of freight you are shipping, we will price either less than container load (LCL) or a full container load (FCL). Generally speaking, if your freight will take up more than half of a 20-foot container’s volume, it is likely more economical to book the entire container. Often times our customers are able to save on overall shipping costs by booking a full container because it sometimes reduces the amount of packaging and crating required compared to an LCL shipment that generally needs to be crated because is co-packed with numerous other shipments in the same container.
